3 Pillars of Course In Mindfulness

MEDITATION

WHAT IS MEDITATION?

Meditation is a profound state of relaxation where you reach a state of letting go; it is your willingness to do nothing, to be silent with yourself, without any external support. This state is the most powerful state of mind and in that stillness the greatest innovations and creative genius happen.

Meditation is highly individualistic and original. It is an art, not a technique, an expression of the uniqueness of each practitioner.

Meditation is to visit your “inner home” from time to time, to relax and rejuvenate, regenerate, heal, and then bounce back to the dynamic life of activities.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO BEGIN MEDITATING?

Begin with at least fifteen to twenty minutes of regular, consistent practice each day. First, take a deep breath and exhale. Watch your ingoing and outgoing breaths for a while. Relax and release all that you are holding on to into the space of letting go.

Relax, stretch, breathe, and then finally meditate to stabilize the positive power in the cells of your body and the wholeness of your mind. When you observe your breath, you are closest to yourself. Your consciousness deepens; your energy rises as you become meditative and contemplative.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION?

Meditation empowers your mind to be more disciplined, focused, energized, integrated, and content. True happiness in life flows more spontaneously, opening the inner gates of consciousness toward the universal rhythm of life. You are untouched by the apparent ups and downs of life and its constant flux of change. You become calm and composed, serene and celebratory. You are still very functional in your materialistic ambitions in life, yet they don’t rob the peace of your heart or the harmony of your mind.

Meditation is an Immunity Booster! Like a body with a weak immune system is vulnerable to all kinds of viruses, so also a weak mind is the breeding ground of all negative viruses (thoughts) that afflict both body and mind. Daily practice of meditation helps you to detoxify your mind for healthy living and create new neural pathways in your brain. This is neuroplasticity, the ability of the brain to rejuvenate and change.

The biggest gift of meditative mindfulness is your positive attitude not only to the world outside but also to the world inside of you. Meditation is your good friend, it gradually helps you come closer to your better self, and see from a closer proximity areas where you need to augment your growth; areas where you are not self-forgiving or self-loving.

IS THERE ANY RESEARCH INTO THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION?

“Helps reduce pain, improve immune function, lower blood pressure, curb anxiety, insomnia.” USA Today

“Compared to the non-meditators, long-term meditators had significantly increased gamma brain waves.” University of Wisconsin USA

Mounting scientific evidence that the practice can enhance creativity, memory and scores on standardized intelligence tests.

Even relatively brief training in meditative techniques can alter neural functioning in brain areas associated with empathic understanding of others’ distress — areas whose responsiveness is also modulated by a person’s degree of felt associations with others. This leads to more compassionate and empathetic relationships.

MINDPOWER

WHAT IS MIND POWER?

Mind Power is essentially the strong belief that “I can do it!” If we think we can do something, we will be able to do it. Self-belief is incredibly powerful. The history of mankind shows that those who won had the strong belief, power of mind, and perseverance to realize their long-term goals of life.

Mindfulness gives us that vision, that ability to develop a special power to see positive possibilities in the midst of pain and negativities. It is a process of empowerment.

SOME SIMPLE WAYS TO ACCESS YOUR INFINITE MIND POWER

CIM recommends you begin with at least 15 to 20 minutes of regular, consistent practice each day. Relax, stretch, breathe, and then finally meditate to stabilize the positive power in the cells of your body and the wholeness of your mind.

The practice of meditation and mindfulness helps awaken the dormant power that lies unexplored and untapped, unleashing infinite power of Mind. Give your best, do your best, strive hard, and keep your mind tuned with the power of the positive attitude. Move toward your goal, and let the result unfold and accept it with love and joy.

Whether you experience success or failure, each of life’s experiences enriches us. Failure does not have to be a loss; it is only how you look at it since every failure is the stepping-stone toward a higher success or experience in life. Nothing goes to waste once you decide to give your 100%.

Our true strength is the power of our mind. The stronger our mind the calmer it becomes. Only a meditative person can be strong enough to be truly focused, mindful, compassionate and non-violent. Meditation and self-analysis, compassion and love open the gates of our mind’s innate power to have all without the need for owning or control.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF OPTIMIZING YOUR MIND POWER?

Mind Power is to live life while being conscious of the infinite gifts that each one of us is showered with every moment, allowing the universal flow of energy and intelligence to manifest. We will reach a point of less effort with more productivity, achieving without being continually stressed and drained.

Mindful Meditation empowers our mind to be more content, focused, energized, integrated, and disciplined. True happiness in life flows spontaneously as we connect to that inner source where the universal energy and power dwell.

IS THERE ANY RESEARCH ON THE POWER OF MIND?

The power of mind is now the focus of many programs designed to enhance academic success, increase wealth, and improve wellness. For these programs, “mind over matter” is not just an empty phrase, it is a goal.

Studies show that our thoughts may actually interact with the brain in a physical way. Instead of relying on the newest technology, apps and gadgets, neurological research shows we miss our most powerful and natural tool, the mind. When we commit to exercising our mental prowess and retraining our mind we can improve scenarios at work and home. Employees or business executives practicing Mindfulness are balanced, joyful and creative.

STRESS REDUCTION

WHY ARE WE STRESSED?

An unfocused mind is the breeding ground of a lot of stress in life. Most often, the mind is in a mode of distraction. It is restless. It is only when the intellect decides with a firm affirmation to focus on anything that the mind starts to pay attention following the dictate of intellect. Paying attention is one of the major challenges. Mindfulness distills the focus with clarity, and that brings about a paradigm shift of attitude to life and its responses.

We are also stressed because our supply source of energy is too small.

We cannot cope with the increasing demands and complexities of today’s world with a shallow supply of energy. Stress is the result of a block in our energy. That block can be removed and stress can be reduced through the simple techniques of CIM.

SOME SIMPLE TECHNIQUES OF CIM THAT TRANSFORM STRESS INTO VITALITY.

What better antidote can we find that will neutralize and eliminate the stress other than RELAXATION? Simple techniques of relaxation and letting go help in performing daily activities with more clarity and less effort.

Stress Reduction should be seen as an integral part of life – just like breathing. CIM presents the finer nuances and reveal the subtler techniques in the art of managing stress, coupled with interactive sessions on Stretching and Breathing techniques of Pranayama, Chi and Chi Kong.

CIM teaches that It is not the external circumstances or situations that really decide the level of stress in our lives; it is more the internal attitude or the way in which all these situations are viewed, reacted to or responded to that makes all the difference.

CIM allows time for questions and answers. It is a very interactive and intense session which embeds the principles of Stress Reduction into the mind of the advanced learner and helps him or her make this holistic art a way of life. The session reinforces these timeless practices and principles and allows participants to get individual guidance from the presenter, Shuddhaanandaaji.
